Unboxing the Exclusive Popcorn Buckets for Five Nights at Freddy's 2 Movie (2025)

Hold onto your hats, horror fans, because Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is coming, and it's bringing more than just scares – it's bringing collectible popcorn buckets! The first film, based on the wildly popular video game, was a box office behemoth. It quickly became Blumhouse Productions’ highest-grossing movie, raking in a staggering $295 million and surpassing hits like Split, The Invisible Man, and even the Halloween sequel trilogy. Now, with a sequel slated for a December 5, 2025 theatrical release, fans can look forward to a whole new level of immersive fun!

But here's where it gets exciting: multiple theater chains are rolling out exclusive popcorn buckets to enhance your movie-going experience.

  • Cinemark is offering a trifecta of Freddy-themed containers: a Freddy popcorn bucket, a stage popcorn bucket, and a popcorn tin, plus a souvenir cup.
  • Regal Cinemas will have a popcorn stage collectible and a popcorn tin.
  • AMC Theatres is upping the ante with a Freddy head popcorn bucket (complete with a removable face!) and a Carl the Cupcake bottle with movable eyes.

And this is the part most people miss...

The first film follows a troubled security guard who starts working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, where he quickly discovers the night shift is anything but easy. The sequel promises to delve deeper into the animatronic terror. One year after the events of the first film, the stories have become a local legend, inspiring the town's first-ever Fazfest. The story continues with the return of former security guard Mike (Josh Hutcherson) and police officer Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail), who have been keeping the truth from Mike’s 11-year-old sister, Abby (Piper Rubio), concerning the fate of her animatronic friends. But when Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, it will set into motion a terrifying series of events, revealing dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy’s, and unleashing a long-forgotten horror hidden away for decades.

The returning cast includes Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Elizabeth Lail (You), and Piper Rubio (Holly & Ivy). Matthew Lillard (Scream) and Theodus Crane (Underground) are also back. New faces joining the franchise include Freddy Carter (Shadow and Bone), Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park), Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters franchise), Teo Briones (Final Destination: Bloodlines), and Skeet Ulrich, Lillard’s Scream co-star. Furthermore, Megan Fox (Jennifer’s Body) will voice Toy Chica, MatPat (FNAF the Musical) will voice Toy Bonnie, and Kellen Goff (Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic) provides the voice of Toy Freddy.

The journey to the big screen wasn't easy. Initially set up at Warner Bros., the project later moved to Blumhouse. While Chris Columbus (Home Alone) was attached to direct for several years, Emma Tammi (director of The Wind, Into the Dark: Delivered, and Into the Dark: Blood Moon) took the helm. She worked from a script co-written with Seth Cuddeback (Mateo) and video game creator Scott Cawthon.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is produced by Jason Blum, the founder and CEO of Blumhouse, and Scott Cawthon, who also produced the first film. The executive producers include director Emma Tammi, Beatriz Sequeira, Christopher Warner, Russell Binder, and Marc Mostman. Jim Henson’s Creature Shop is behind the special effects that bring the animatronic characters to life.

Now, here’s a question to get you thinking: Are you excited about Five Nights at Freddy’s 2? Which popcorn bucket are you hoping to snag? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
