"It's time to clear the air," Heald wrote. "I've received multiple messages about a Facebook post claiming that, as of December 1st, Carnival has raised the drink limit to 24 alcoholic beverages per day. This is simply not true. Please disregard this misinformation."
Carnival Cruises stands by its established policy, allowing up to 15 alcoholic drinks per person within a 24-hour period, from 6 a.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. The cruise line reserves the right to refuse service at any time, and staff may exercise discretion to limit drinks further if necessary.
"We take our guests' well-being seriously," a Carnival spokesperson told Fox News Digital. "Our drink policies are designed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all."
The controversy surrounding drink limits on cruises is not without merit. A tragic incident aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise highlights the potential consequences of excessive drinking. A 35-year-old man lost his life after allegedly being served 33 alcoholic drinks by crew members. His family has since filed a lawsuit against the company, claiming negligence.
